KIFAD UK’s Core Values

Our Vision: A world where those affected and infected by HIV and AIDS can readily gain access to free health care and support.

Our Mission:

To raise funds in the UK that will directly assist our partners, KIFAD, in Uganda specifically so that they can build and run a new health centre to support their clients living with HIV and AIDS. KIFAD UK also sources children’s clothes for the families of KIFAD clients.

Our Core Values

Responsibility: We care about the residents of Wakiso District and in particular those who use services provided by KIFAD. We continue to take steps to ensure that we can support the work of KIFAD in Uganda from our homes in the UK.

Valuing People: People are at the heart of our organisation. We strive to do what we can to ease the financial burden some face in Uganda.

Working in Partnership: KIFAD UK and KIFAD work together to achieve the aims of those on the ground. We share ideas and communicate effectively to reach our goal of building and running a new health centre as well as developing the services KIFAD can offer its clients.

Transparency: KIFAD UK believe in candid budgets and costings. Strong emphasis will be placed upon transparency to ensure mutual trust among stakeholders.

Accountability: KIFAD UK is accountable to HMRC and the Charities Commission. The organisation will conform to acceptable financial management systems in order to be accountable to donors and our members. KIFAD UK members will also be given the opportunity to evaluate programme performance through our annual general meetings and will be consulted before major decisions are made.
